Loved the game! Very fun to get those resources. The battles are not very fun. But what to expect in just 72 hours. It's great work for that time!

Difficulty is either too high or is too grindy.

god game, accidentally went into the core when drilling down. now I will wonder forever if I could have gotte a different ending if I had found all the plant orbs and stuff :-(

(+1)

Thank you! There isn't anything special after that, or multiple endings, so if you managed to get into the core you won the game. Hopefully we can expand it after the game jam version, then you'll see a lot more things ;)

(+1)

That's too sad since there is potential.
Maybe have some super expensive upgrade for an "Auto Defense System" aka aimbot+2 turrets on both sides so the base defends itself.
and have some huge tree or whatever grow after getting enough plat orbs, so after so and so many collected orbs, enough oxygen is produced so no suit is needed in the dome.

so after you get both things, you have created a new sweet dome home for you, where you will live for the rest of your life, no need to hope for some core :-)

Really cool game, coudn't find time to finish it tho. consider adding the tutorial with mention about upgrades. I took 2 deaths to discover that. Easy mode would be helpful. I really liked the art.

yo! This game is so enjoyable!

but I found controls a bit unintuitive and confusing... till I got used to it)

(I spend like 2 hours, but it worth it :D )

Wow, that's a lot :D

Can you tell what specifically didn't make sense, or worked differently than expected, control wise? Maybe i can improve it :)

Different keys for similar functions in the thing where you choose between battle and upgrading. For example, you exit battle thing using down arrow, but you use left arrow to exit upgrading thing.

That was a bit confusing, so needed some time to get used to it.

But the game is awesome nevertheless!

Replayed after UI update great work. excited for more updates! Thanks for being responsive!

Lovely! I just wish there was more time before the waves, some automated turrets to buy and recompensate it with more ground layers :). The art and atmosphere is spot on!

this needs to be a ful game

maybe add a few more lazer upgrades so people arnt just getting the insta kill one so soon it would make a petter sense of progression

note: im just spitballing here love the game though

Yeah that's solid advice - people go for the laser upgrade way more than i'd have thought. Personally, i always bought it last :D

haha I didn't liked the monsters so I was like how to speed things up so I can focus on collecting more .. oh insta kill that's handy XD

very nice :) I'm guessing there's no resources after the bedrock. Since I mined everything, I think I can say I 100% the game

Definitely has a lot of potential with more variation for the different mechanics

Thank you :)

I really have to make this clear in the game - if you move below the bedrock the game has an ending screen.

(-1)

Ah, I beat the game for real this time

what a bittersweet ending...

I think this is fun! I love the art style, but I would suggest clearer instructions. I did not immediately understand that I was supposed to use the gunning system or what it was for.

needs a lot of work ui is not clear.
The weapon chair gets stuck in some non-combat mode and the game becomes a brick.

Oh, i fear i broke this, the UI had problems finding the intended position, so it might have stayed off screen. It should be fine again now.

Awesome was really enjoying the gameplay.

Hey, I'm stuck in the shower room, did the scene with the shower chick after beating the witch.. I'm using a gamepad. is there a glitch or am i just doing something wrong?

i wish i could read the text for the info

Wish granted! I hope, at least :D

I think the text became basically unreadable if the game window was smaller than 1920x1080. I just uploaded a tiny fix (engine setting change), so now it should be readable. Thank you for the feedback, that really helps improving the game :)

Few things getting in the way of enjoying this sadly. For one the crackling. Another is the text isn't displaying properly on upgrades. I'm sure I could read it in full screen but pressing escape exists me out of full screen before affecting the menu.

When I died and lost all my progress something about it felt incredibly unfair. Perhaps because half the damage I took was early on from just trying to figure out the mechanics, the idea of slowly mining at blocks again just to get back to that point sounds dull.

Also not a fan of how I have to buy upgrades I'm not interested in just to unlock ones I may want. Like, the idea of having to buy information is interesting. It becomes less interesting when it's not a choice. Surely the appeal of something like this is the strategy of what to buy.

I do like the art and atmosphere.

Thank you for the feedback! :)

I'm not sure what causes the crackling, but this is an issue in the browser. The executables don't have it. The crackling comes with the ambience, so if you mute it, it should probably be ok. I wrote that in the description, but personally i never read descriptions :D

I'm not sure i understand the last point. You do have to make a choices at some point - for example what to prioritize in unlocking. Some people go for the laste, i personally like the speed, but the drill is also very useful. You won't have enough resources to get them all. If you got the last drill, you can finish the game by digging down as far as possible (this is not communicated well though).

I understand the annoying fullscreen thing - i changed it to use another key than ESC. Other than that, there is this little button in the lower right corner for fullscreen, this also works.

(+1)

Consider adding other methods of access/closing the menu, alternate hotkeys, and possibly better handing of different screen resolutions. Playing on itch.io via a web browser means needing expand the game to full screen mode--and that means the ESC key is used by itch.io to exit from full screen mode.

Thank you for the hint, i changed it to the Pause button or P (or esc, or backspace).

Thank you for sharing this! Very happy with the play mechanics!  Had a lot of fun playing it, felt the pressure as the monster timer ticked down! If you want feedback, I want to ask for a theme to play depending on how well things are going (i.e. manic music when the dome is damaged and the monster timer is getting close to zero, etc.). I vote for additional music as a future enhancement if you choose to revisit this title for future updates. (haven't heard the ending track yet)

Awsome, thank you for playing and for the feedback! I was searching a lot for music, but couldn't find anything fitting during the jam. I'd love to add music, ideally fitting into the soundscabe - not sure how it is called, if its chiptune or 8-bit or low-bit or something like that.

Looks fun... it won't load tho

It might take a little time. It's not that large with 14mb though, so it shouldn't take ages. If the browser won't run it, there's always the download version (which runs better anyway).

Yea, i did download it, still dosen't work

Hm, which OS are you running? It most likely only works on 64 bit systems, and i couldn't test linux so far.

I'm using macOS

All it ever shows is the loading circle. idk why
