Did you ever wonder how the mayor of Tristram might have felt?

Embark on a pixelated journey reminiscent of Diablo 1 in this thrilling 2D adventure!

Enter the catacombs beneath Tristram Cathedral by summoning brave heroes to face the dangers that lurk in the depths. Assemble your own party of heroes and fight to defeat evil and recover valuable treasures. Rebuild your once destroyed city with the gold from your adventures and upgrade buildings for ever more powerful equipment.

But beware, formidable horrors await in the shadows, challenging your mettle and rewarding your courage in this nostalgic homage to classic dungeon-crawling adventures.

Critical Bug Fixes:

  • fixed a bug where the ending scene would never trigger after beating the boss of the third level
  • fixed a bug where the expedition summary would get too large if having parties of 5, moving the close button out of screen and preventing progression

This game makes me feel like a simple old village chief, constantly encouraging adventurers to go to work!

Do you have any plans to expand the game's content?

for example:

1. Players can arrange team members.

2. Let the adventure team retreat when in danger.

3. Add more buildings and adventurers.

s class warden can solo the final boss level… bags 700 gold

Good idea and work! Feels rough when your S little rank doofus is down there, life dropping and confidence going up while futilely whacking away - I think that is a sign the design is working well.

How much would I invest in a dinner bell or something that would save the little turds from themselves!

The swap/kick mechanics feel a little unclear - like I'm, not sure what swap exactly will happen when I hit the button.

Also, I didn't figure out how to say 'Stay awhile and listen' or ID anyone's gear :(

Great little management game with very nice pixel art and music! =)

Some issues noted while playtesting:

  • Managed to kill the level 3 boss many times, but nothing special happened. Not entirely sure when the game should have ended. Maybe some of the heroes were not ready for level 4?
  • I run into a bug where the battle stats window eventually became too large and I couldn't press the Close button anymore (effectively ending my game session, but I'll consider it a victory anyway 😂):
    After this the only thing I could do was to ring the bell continuously 😁
  • Using Swap and Kick orders wasn't that intuitive, or useful even. Brute forcing the dungeon with more heroes felt like an easier strategy.

Update: found a workaround to the stats bug. Click Options and then Apply. After this the character is able to move again, although the stats remain on the top. Hiring heroes and entering dungeon is still possible although a bit harder 😅

However, this time the dungeon got stuck when the heroes were fleeing the combat:
