This is a really good idea for a game, and fun as well. However, I couldn't manage to complete it. Perhaps the difficulty should scale up only a bit later into the game, as it is now I really can't seem to progress far at all.

Way too hard for me, but very well made and thoughtful. Great music too! It definitely has a gritty space western vibe.

(+4)

finally got around to playing this! dang but it's got that easy-to-learn, hard-to-master vibe. Great job of just getting the game started at the beginning without too much fluff--I struggle with that in my designs, haha. Love the color palette too. <3

(+1)

i really love it. well done.

(+1)

fun little game but kinda lagged for me and the music get cutting in and out so had to turn it off very cool tho

(+1)

this was really cool! it was surprisingly difficult but quite enjoyable c: the puzzle levels were a cool way to switch things up as well, they took me a few tries to figure out! managed to finish the desert one with 1 whole food left lmao

What a nice game! The music, the desolate situation you are in. The first time you see part of your group float away into the black hole.. eerie.

Could be part of the prologue of "Loop hero".

(+2)

Seriously super cool, I would love to more of this!

(+3)

Thank you for this amazing game!

You can check my full game playthrough here:

Great job on the game! Love the concept, art, and the music sets a great mood.

(+2)

If this was procedurally generated, I would probably lose myself, haha. The fact that you could accomplish so many paths with a small map is really impressive!

(+3)

Uff, I at least won! I doubt if it this possible to win in the first gameplay - knowledge about map is key to the victory.

Aaaah I can't get past the water!! I read something about building a bridge, but it didn't work

if you have enough wood, you can just move onto the water tile and the bridge gets built automatically. I think it was 5 wood, haven't played in a while :D

I'll try

(1 edit) (+2)

I can't harvest berries. I can chop wood, but every time I click I have trouble selecting the tile, and my berries don't get up.

EDIT: Thought the choice making was harvesting them and I didn't realize you have to actually do the same as woodcutters. Sorry!

Loved this game! Cozy but mysterious atmosphere, beautiful graphics, and pleasant pacing. Will keep an eye on this, well done!!

(1 edit) (+2)

Such a fun game, I hope you all make it into a full release with more mechanics once you complete Dome Keeper!

(+3)

This was super fun and the concept is calming. It was kind of hard but that's also the fun part. It would be cool if the map showed the current location.

(+2)

That was pretty easy imo but i loved it. Games like this are really nice to play. I never needed a mining wagon but yeah

(+2)

jesus fuck this is hard

(+2)

Great game!

I noticed that if you reach the portal with zero food left, it will briefly show you the “Close Your Eyes” dialog before showing you the victory screen.

I would love to see more with this game

would like it if the map shows current location

(+3)

Absolutely loved the game! Would really love to see more of this game in the future (i dont know if you plan on continuing development since it was a ludum dare) but if you do, I'd even pay for it! Hope you enjoy the video!

(+1)

This game is very well made, excellent art style, plot, and music

(+2)

The game is awesome, but I'm just not good at it haha
Gonna give it more tries!
Love the art and music!

(+2)

I've played through all of the worlds with a few different strategies now. I really like this game, the music and art are especially good. One time I strayed a little too long in the Gaia world and the portal tile straight up floated out in the middle of a bunch of other tiles that were intact... there's like a gaping hole in the middle of this, lol.

wow, that's a first :D

(1 edit)

maybe I'm missing something but... is there  a way to control the volume of the game separately on the downloaded version?

Press escape and it opens a menu

When I try to play I get the message response.body is undefined. :(

(+3)

interestante game

(+3)

Nice game!

Pressing and holding a button could show in how many turns the next line of terrain will float away.  Or at least making the terrain about to float highlighted a bit more would be good (especially for people like me with partial color blindness :-p)

(+1)

That's an excellent suggestion! I always like to keep things as minimal as possible, so offering more info like that makes a ton of sense :)

(+4)

it looks easy but damn it took me a few tries to do it pretty cool game.looking forward

(+2)

it is so cool! I would like to play this game with such idea + more levels + strong narrative!

(+4)

this game is a masterpiece, please make it go out on steam

(+1)

This game is great, I really hope you expand on it at some point. (btw can you optimise the world generation to be more fair because I was having a really good run then the pacific ocean spawned in)

(+2)

Liked this game. If you got to big it kinda reminded me of Snake where you have to get bigger to survive, but as you do it gets a more and more unyielding. Felt kinda like a fun puzzle trying to get your long caravan out of a tight spot (which I was bad at).

(+2)

Great game design, very simple, beautiful art both in sound and graphic, making great ambience.  easy gameplay, and thoughtful. i just hoped is was longer

(+4)

Awesome game, had me totally hooked!
The game was incredibly well balanced rewarding careful management and exploration while punishing you just the right amount. The atmosphere was also spot on. Hopeless and lost but with a reverie for the natural world you were traversing. Could definitely see this become a legendary indie game or tabletop experience--or even both!

Thank you <3

(+2)

That was a lot of fun and much harder that I expected. My only nitpick is that there may be a few too many spells but I'm sure most of them can be used in a way I haven't experienced with. The two puzzles were neat but much easier than the first level for me.

(1 edit) (+1)

Absolutely! Normally, i'd want to give the spells gradually over to the player, by visiting old mage towers. The Jam-timeline didn't permit it though, so it turned out a bit simpler.

That's the problem with game jams. They encourage devs to pump out unfinished games, which hurts the online gaming industry.

I highly enjoyed this game! I tried it back in January and I wasn’t sure how I felt. Came back to it and had a great time! If you’re into a small amount of management with a slight feeling of Oregon Trail you may enjoy this game. And don’t get me started on puzzle mode. ITS SO GOOD! I could see myself getting lost in the full version of this game for hours! Thank you for creating such a great game!

A little about myself! I’m Yung MuShu. I’m a content creator on YouTube and Twitch. On YouTube I do gameplay and reviews on everything indie and itch.io. On Twitch I’m a variety streamer. Let me know what you think of the video!

(+4)

dude this looked kinda mid on the dashboard I was not expecting a masterpiece or the feels. legendary game.

(+1)

mhhh, i like to hear that :D

(+3)

I can't manage resources/movement well enough to even finish the first map but it's beautifully made and the soundtrack is great.
