Squeezlings
Web build is not great! Best experience with the downloaded version.
Note if you play in browser: the game will load for a while if you press "new game", with a black screen. Every time a new effect is shown, the game will lag. This will resolve itself while you play.
Your little Squeezlings need help!
Though cute and very diligent these tiny creatures always require a little “nudge” in the right direction.
Guide their Rapid Evolution™ and satisfy your hunger!
Watch them as they take care of themselves and your plants.
The next yummy Nellemon is ripe for the growing!

This game was originally made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 56. The currently uploaded version is a post-jam version where we tuned the balance a bit, added some animations we could not get in, added another text hint when you hover the plants and added beards to old squeezlings. The experience is similar to the jam game, the looks are nearly identical, but it's just a bit nicer and smoother.

I loved what parts of this worked, but they refused to harvest the plumkins and frequently they'd eat, stand there for the rest of the night, and then go back to work without having any babies
as usual bippinbits stands for quality. great game
super unsualy type of game = fantastic idea.
very cozy and ultracool interactions, planting, squashing, evolving.
i especially liked the "chopsticks" and "fingerplanting/squashing"
cool that the tiny creatures evolve and learn new skills etc.
super soundtrack and awesome visuals, colors and lighting

usually that is the worst in firefox, chrome is usally still relativly good.
you can try and look at that: (to fix shader/particle compilation stutter)
after that you have to emit all the particles, combined with a light, this can be done hidden ONCE at game start, combined with a light and have them active as a node at all times in the background (without emitting). to get rid of all the shader compilation stuff. Otherwise it can come back in different scenes
We ran into such issues with an older game of ourselfs.
I would guess that you know that already,
maybe you just had not enough time to fix that.

50 minutes in, yet still can't get past those hand/arm stages -_-
You can get new creatures by squshing plants with a fruit. Sometimes your creatures evolve into "dead ends", which is when you need to squish them.
Then you cabbage is a catalyst for arm evolution, speeding that up. If you want to evolve the arms quickly, you can squish the other food or even the complete plants. For example, you might want to squish all the faceberry plants once you got the different heads.
