Critical Bug Fixes:

  • fixed a bug where the ending scene would never trigger after beating the boss of the third level
  • fixed a bug where the expedition summary would get too large if having parties of 5, moving the close button out of screen and preventing progression

Super fun game. At first it was a bit frustrating not being able to have much control over wether or not you were sending some low level heroes to their death, but after beating the game it was fun trying to get a full roster of S tiers, couldn't get a S Mage after reaching S with almost the whole roster, the poor low level mages get blasted on level 3 lol

My Tristram gameplay (No commentary)

I tried Tristram and I liked it right away, it was a lot of fun.

It would have been nice to have a pop-up window where the teams ready to go on the expedition appear (where you change members there, instead of in the single character pop-up) because sometimes some characters outside the group would get mixed up in there and it confused me a bit.

Apart from that, it was a pleasant experience. It would be great if in the future you would add additional content if possible or make it a full game.

I hope you don't mind that I uploaded my gameplay of this game on my youtube channel.  :)

I wish the development team luck and success.

Best regards, Pietro.

took me an obscene amount of time but i finally cleared all 3 lanes at once

(+2)

I just wish I could save. Great little game, well done!

(+2)

This was a lot of fun to play!

I hope you guys make a whole game out of it one day.

(+1)

Very nice game! Thank you

(+1)

Amazing little tribute. I loved it.  Things to add: more levels, money making brewery in town, custom buy item to gift hero, some build options in town to manage with more upgrades, NPC's that come to town to run the shops before upgrades are unlocked, hero vs hero arena, cemetery dead come to life and attack town.

(+1)

Great game. You guys can be proud of yourselves that you made this in just 72 hours. This has AMAZING POTENTIAL!

(+2)

Great game! Only issue is not being able to kick hero's out of town, I had one hero that would run away after getting hit once and I would always lose my best hero's cause the swapping is kind of jank and he'd take the spot of my healer.

Dev question: What tweening/animation do you do to the characters to make them walk like that?

(+1)

Loved the game!  Really enjoyed the art and gameplay and was very surprised to find out it was all from a game jam!

I'd love for this to split away from Diablo and turn into it's own full game with more in depth town building and hero customization!
(+2)

This needs to evolve into a full game, the game is already good and it's very simple as it is now, imagine if it were bigger!? It would be awesome. Recommend to put a roguelite genre into it.

(+1)

damn good guys very awsome

(+2)

PERMADEATH !? how rude !! but I love the game.

(+1)

Waow that's mind blowing for a Game Jam!

I may have played the post Jam, but the quality and the mechanics are top notch. I don't know how you pull this off, but you have my dearest respect!

I believe this game could become much bigger, as the foundation is very solid. It could have a bigger gameplay loop, a new shop, events, missions (like bounties), more loot, and character and skill tree customization (like Rogue Legacy with a new generation improving new champions).

I hope you guys can find time to work on it even more! Anyway, I got a blast!

is there more than lvl4 ?

No, the boss of level 3 is the final challenge

(+3)

amazing little gem. would love to spent all this gold I gathered somewhere

Game doesn't want to run on a web browser.

Not sure which browser you're using, but it should work in most major browsers.

The browser version is inferior to the downloadable version, though. I would suggest giving that one a try if you are able to.

I use Chrome.   I'll try Opera next time.

Hmmmm, I would think it should definitely work on Chrome... I wonder if there is something that needs to be updated? 🤔

Add a loading bar, it takes a while and looks like its not working.

Second that, I tested on firefox, chrome and edge.

I just downloaded the thing, so... lulz.

It just takes a while. Wait

I just tried it on Chrome and it works well for me.

(+1)

Good game,but short,want more

(+2)

It's a really impressive game with beautiful music. I really like this concept, but the game is so short and i really wanna more stories of all these NPCs.

(+2)

this is such a fresh idea, please tell me youre working on doing more with this concept!

(+1)

Really impressive for a game jam game! Has to be one of the largest teams I've ever seen. The game lacks interactivity, all I did was upgrade the buildings and hire whatever then start the next raid. But it is fun and charming to watch it all happening so I played until the end.

(+2)

Nice game, like the concept. In the full version I would like to have more control over how events progress. For example, grouping teams of heroes myself.

(+2)

maybe a retreat option, some UI mouse overs on the battle screen and roster sign post to see stats/gear, gear mouse rollover, ui indicator what dungeon lvl is clear for a char, and if not part of the randomness design - some indication where a character is swapping to.  lots of fun!

(+4)(-1)

Oh damn! That'd be cool if the game can be fully playable / accessible for totally blind players like me! :)

I am totally blind audio engineer, musician and an accessibility consultant / specialist. I am working with game devs and modders to improve accessibility in games. Let me know what do you think! :)

(+3)

Awesome game. If your taking votes to continue developing this, here's mine!

(+4)

Was a fun little game.

If ya develope it further it could be really good.

It lacked long term stuff.

Reminds me about that one hero manager game... were the dev just let it die.

But it was good. Just needs further dungeons, more stuff to do and buy for heroes and the elder. Maybe a way to make a party more permament, randomness really is weird sometimes. Had one party with 4 healers and 1 S rank Tank beat the game for me xD..

(+2)

This needs a patreon! It might be one rich fella or the public platform, but it needs to be developed! It sure have reached the feels of a proper game, with a proper launch.

In another words: we the players are willing to pay you guys to continuning developing and launching updates on this game. We loved it, we love the game loop and with a few more features and a continuous updates you might have not only a gold mine in your hands, but the chance to work on something great for the gaming world.

Keep up the awesome work!

(+2)

I doubt we've seen the last of Tristram :)

Does Hire and Sponsor have extra benefits compared to just hiring?

(1 edit) (+2)

sponsor gives extra starting gold for the hero

hire only gives 8 gold for the hero to spend, but hire and sponsor gives far more money. Besides you earn some back by taxation, and Hire and Sponsor is better late game when the e-rank heroes get thrown right into the third dungeon.

(+1)

Does the deed make the hero or the hero make the deed?

i love it :D

(+1)

So fun! Wish it had a retreat option or a way to revive fallen heroes though.

(+2)

Just beat it, GREAT game!

Please keep working on it, could use some updates on the way the player manages the adventures parties specially when it comes to swapping heroes, it's kinda of random.

Also would love to see more levels and upgrades for the town.

(+1)

Great concept, had a blast all the way to the end.

Can't make any suggestions because you can expand this concept in literally any direction and it'd be a banger still.

Well done guys!!!

(+1)

Had a Kobold? Tank guy who survived all the way to the end! :D

Great game

(+1)

it was so fun to play, i love the simulation style and the little messages when the characters go to the burial grounds and declare vengeance
